TORRID CELEBRATES NEWEST STORE AT SANGERTOWN SQUARE
TORRID, America’s fastest growing plus-size fashion brand, announced it will open a retail store at (Sangertown Square) in (New Hartford), NY on March 21, 2017, and will hold its grand opening event on Saturday, March 25, starting at 10 a.m.
“Our customers love our fashion collections and exceptional fit, and have been very vocal about wanting us to expand our store base,” said Kate Horton, Torrid Senior VP. “Sixty-eight percent of women in the U.S. wear our sizes, but this market represents only 17 percent of the women’s fashion retail industry. We want to offer apparel and accessories that fit their sense of style, while helping them look and feel great.”
Torrid’s collections of fashion apparel, accessories, swimwear, lingerie and shoes are designed exclusively for women sizes 10 to 30—each piece is made and constructed specifically to fit and flatter curvy figures, rather than being a “sized up” version of a fashion piece. Once developed, each piece is tried and tested on women of different sizes and shapes to ensure a fit that’s unmatched in the industry.
“Our jeans are an example of our commitment to an exceptional fit,” said Horton. “For example, all women struggle to find the right cut of denim for their body and style. But we work hard to make perfect fitting jeans in the latest styles and washes. One of our favorite things is when a customer tries on a pair of Torrid jeans for the first time and realizes how amazing she feels.”
The Torrid store is located in the Boscov Wing. Torrid will celebrate the store’s grand opening event at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 25. The first 50 customers in line will get a mystery Torrid gift card valued up to $100. All customers who enroll in the Torrid loyalty program, Torrid Insider, at the Sangertown Square store from March 24 through March 26, 2017 will be entered into a sweepstakes for the chance to win a $500 shopping spree—and those new Torrid Insiders will receive 10 percent off their first purchase.
