Boscov’s will host a senior health and wellness fair on Wednesday, March 1st. The free event is open to the public and will run from 11am until 2pm throughout the store.
More than 24 are organizations are expected to participate this year including American Heart Association, Oneida County Office for the Aging/Office of Continuing Care, Oneida Country Health Department, The Mohawk Valley Institute for Learning in Retirement and many more.
In addition, VNA Homecare and Edwards Ambulance, Inc. will be on hand to do free blood pressure screenings and wellness check. Some members of the New Hartford Senior Center RSVP Theater Group will be in attendance to perform some short skits. The New Hartford Senior Center will also host Attorney Mark Wolber at their table and he will provide legal information to seniors health care proxies, living wills, and power of attorney.
There will be chair yoga demonstrations, interactive games and giveaways, and hands only CPR demonstrations. Boscov’s will also be providing free coffee, popcorn, and fruit infused water samples, athletic shoe fittings, skin care demonstrations and samples, eye care screenings, and register to win contests.
